Katelin directs Business Development within the Strategy Team at 29studios, a video-centric digital agency pioneering Make Intelligent Video™.
Katelin has 7 years of agency experience and has a natural ability to innovate creative solutions for our clients. Growing up in an entrepreneurial family and daughter of the Co-Founders, Katelin is client facing and has an eclectic set of core competencies.
“I studied Television Production at Glasgow Metropolitan College before joining 29studios as a film-maker in 2010. I quickly developed a rounded skill-set in film-making and thus, as part of my development, I was fast tracked into Strategy Team as Project Manager.
I was also at this time appointed as Analytics Director. I was integral to the transformation of the agency as we launched and piloted video packages services with the inclusion of video distribution and analytics. I integrated a suite of analytics tools into our client experience, achieving significant growth for the company.
During this time I also travelled to the Google and YouTube HQ in California, deepening my skill-set along the way.
I’m Google Analytics, HootSuite, and LinkedIn certified, which helped carve out the Analytics division of the business. Social media platforms are an integral part of our video distribution service and after visiting the Twitter HQ in San Francisco I was responsible for yet again strengthening the video distribution strategy for 29studios.
Part of my success was introducing a series of analytics and social media events, which include presenters from NASA, YouTube, and HootSuite.
In 2014, I launched a successful start-up and social enterprise, 29steps. Our aim is to become a leading intelligent video academy, training young people in filmmaking and we have already launched the first modern apprenticeship in Filmmaking with City of Glasgow College. We work with inspirational clients including Ocean Youth Trust Scotland, Beatson Cancer Charity, Turning Point Scotland, National Deaf Children Society, Street Soccer Scotland, and MACS.
In 2015 as the agency was evolving, customer experience was priority, and I made sure we added value wherever we could. After strengthening my client facing relationships, within Project Management & Analytics Director I took the opportunity to take position as Business Development Director within the Strategy Team. As with over 7 years of agency experience and a natural ability to innovate creative solutions working alongside potential clients and existing clients to ensure.
